BOY SCOUT ADVANCEMENT NEWS

Some who picked up the merit badge counselor list at the September roundtable got a version (dated 8/15, with no cover page) that includes merit badge counselors who had been dropped. Please discard it and pick up the correct listing (dated 8/18, with a cover page).

The updated merit badge counselor list will be available at the roundtable, or by email from Bruce Wentworth (bruce@wenthome.com). On behalf of the youth of our district, thanks to all who reregistered!

Please note that the Central New Jersey Council Eagle Scout Advancement Guide has been updated. This August 1, 2008 version supersedes the October 12, 1999 version, and is linked from the bottom of our district advancement web page, http://mad-bsa.org/advancement/.

We are looking for experienced troop Eagle advisors able and willing to serve as Eagle advisors on the district advancement committee. If you can recommend anyone for this critical district function, please contact advancement chairman Gene McDermott at genemcdermott@aol.com.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

Leadership training is key to providing a quality program – every scout deserves a trained leader! Our district training web page (http://wenthome.com/training/) lists upcoming training opportunities in our area. Please also see the note on updating your unit’s training records at council.
