Subject: Merit Badge Counselors

The Boy Scouts of America requires the Central New Jersey Council to renew Merit Badge Counselors annually. We are in the process of updating the Council's merit badge counselor lists for all six districts. The Council has decided to streamline the process and is renewing each of the 6 districts at the same time. Registrations are due back to us no later than July 15, 2008. If your re-registration is not received by July 15, 2008, your name cannot be included on the list of approved merit badge counselors. Distribution of the updated lists will be at Program Launch on August 23, 2008. If you were approved, or have already recertified, since January 1, 2008, you are not required to register this year.
